In the late summer, I was asked by a friend to help move his boat from Sandusky to Boston. I jumped at the chance on the condition that I needed to work (about 20 hrs per week at the time) while we were traveling.
The rout taken would be the same as our proposed route in 2017, hence the enthusiasm. We would cross Lake Erie, pass through the Welland Canal lock system into Lake Ontario, cross Lake Ontario and head down the St Lawrence River to Quebec. From there we would head into the St Lawrence Seaway, around the Gaspe Peninsula and down to Prince Edward Island (PEI) – famous for its mussels.
After leaving PEI, we would head between Nova Scotia and Cape Breton into the Atlantic and down the coast to Halifax. Our last jump would be from there to Boston.
